目录
Jason meets with his friends in the cave under Dr. Earnhardt's mansion to inform them that he intends to stay on the Rook Islands, and the rest of them should take the boat back to the US.
Synopsis
Jason wakes up in Citra's Temple after killing Vaas in the dream sequence. Citra informs him that Vaas is dead, and they plan their next move to kill Hoyt. Citra laments Vaas abandoning her and how Hoyt lured him away for money and drugs, becoming a monster in the process. Nonetheless, Citra still acknowledges Vaas as her brother. Jason vows to Citra that Hoyt will pay for what he did to her and to Grant and Riley, and that he will bring her Hoyt's head. Citra then asks Jason about his friends, to which he replies that they'll be taking the boat back and that he'll be staying with her on the island. Citra is pleased by his response and then asks Jason how he will kill Hoyt. Jason tells Citra that he met a spy named Willis who can sneak him onto Hoyt's island. Citra compliments Jason's plan, but laments that the Rakyat will miss his presence. Citra then bids farewell to Jason, telling him to return to her and the Rakyat soon.
As Jason is about to leave the temple, he comes across a drunken Dennis. Dennis tells Jason about his time in the United States as an immigrant, where he once worked as a mechanic in a garage. The owner kept on making fun of his accent and that he was paid less than the other mechanics. Dennis continues his drunken tirade by telling Jason that they were not as skilled as him and that they tried to treat him less than them. Dennis thanks Citra for freeing him and making him know who he truly is. Dennis bids farewell to Jason, wishing him luck on his mission as he asks for another bottle.
Jason then makes his way back to cave underneath Dr. Earnhardt's Mansion, where he meets up with his rescued friends. Daisy asks Jason if he's okay, with him telling her he's fine. Liza tells Jason that the boat is about to be fixed and all of them can go home. However, Jason tells her, Daisy, Keith, and Oliver that he will be staying on the island, much to their shock. As Jason tells them that he's found his place on the island, Liza walks away from the group, completely distraught by Jason's decision. Daisy asks Jason if he's serious, to which he replies by subtly nodding his head in agreement. Jason then approaches Liza, who is still trying to comprehend Jason's decision. Jason tells Liza that he knows exactly what he wants for the first time in his life and that he's not gonna let the opportunity slip away. Liza responds to Jason that she has wanted him to grow up all this time, but now he is leaving her. Jason then bluntly says goodbye to Liza. Liza, anguished at the thought of never seeing Jason again, attempts to plead to him not to leave her, but Daisy tells her to let him go as she consoles her. Liza is then seen and heard wailing as Daisy comforts and hugs her over her heartbroken reaction to Jason's decision to stay on the island.
Before leaving the cave for good, Jason can talk to both Keith and Oliver.
When talking to Keith, Jason wishes good luck to him on Wall Street. Keith tells Jason that it's all about the hustle. Jason then tells Keith to stay strong as they shake hands before bidding each other farewell. When talking to Oliver, he initially tells Jason that he wants to stay with Dr. Earnhardt, but Jason tells him that he has to go with the others back home. Oliver then asks Jason why, to which Jason responds to him that he will be the one to tell his mom back home about his decision to stay on the island. Oliver acquiesces on Jason's request, and they share a handshake and hug. Jason tells Oliver to take care with Oliver replying likewise before bidding each other farewell.
Additionally, if Jason hasn't played the 3 parts of the optional quest The Social Club yet, this will be his final chance to do so as upon exiting the cave, it will be impossible to re-enter due to an invisible wall.
After Jason bids farewell to his friends, as he heads for the exit, Daisy tells Jason off, telling him to go on and take care himself as that's what he's good at. Jason then exits the cave for the final time. Upon reaching outside of the cave, Jason remarks that his decision to stay on the island and bid farewell to his friends was both rougher and harder than he expected due to them not taking the news of his decision very well especially Liza, but nonetheless, he prepares to meet up with Willis and enter Hoyt's island.
