“ Hello. Did we enjoy our time with the CIA? Welcome to Durgesh! I apologize for the Spartan accommodations, but you have been a naughty little shit haven't you? Gallivanting about with the Golden Path. And poor Paul! Are you still sore about what he did to your little monkey friend? What was his name? Deadpan? Dipshit? Doorknob? ”

Pagan Min

Don't Look Down is the twenty-first story mission in Far Cry 4.

Ajay has been captured by Pagan and thrown into a Durgesh Prison cell in the Himalayan mountains following his betrayal by Willis Huntley. He must escape the infamous camp while fighting off hallucinations caused by Yuma Lau.

This mission is the introduction for the DLCs Escape from Durgesh Prison and Valley of the Yetis because in the end of this mission, Ajay passes out due to the cold. Later, Pagan finds him and leaves to one North Radio Tower, and this is the beginning of the DLC Escape From Durgesh Prison, after Ajay escapes from the North in a helicopter, he goes to a valley in the mountains of Kyrat behind a relic which can give immortality to those who have it and the expedition Yuma sent to this Valley, beginning the events of DLC Valley of the Yetis, at the end of DLC Ajay hallucinates and sees it turning into a yeti, but he had sent a rescue request to the Golden Path before to go, then the Golden Path is Ajay swooning cold on the mountain where he was taking him home, thus leading to a final cutscene of the mission, where he wakes up in bed at the Ghale residence, where he is greeted by either Amita and Sabal (influenced by the choices of the player):

  • If Amita is the current leader of the Golden Path, as Ajay awakens, she tells him that he's the luckiest man she knows. She says to him that she's been searching for him for a week in enemy territory and that it's a good thing she and the Golden Path found him as he was on the verge of freezing to death. Ajay then asks Amita where Sabal is, with Amita replying that he's probably doing what he does best: sitting in a room praying to dead gods for Ajay's safe return. Amita tells Ajay that she's been watching him for 3 days but now that he's awake, she assumes him to be okay. Amita then makes her leave, saying that there's still a war going on. Right before she leaves, Amita tells Ajay that Sabal was right about one thing: The Golden Path needs him and that she's happy to have him with her.
  • If Sabal is the current leader of the Golden Path, as Ajay awakens, Sabal remarks to him that he looks good for someone who clawed his way out of the Durgesh prison. Sabal tells Ajay that he and the Golden Path were fortunate to find him as he was on the verge of freezing to death. Ajay asks Sabal how he found him, to which Sabal replies that Kyra showed him the way and that it took a week for him to track down his location. Sabal prayed constantly for his safe return and the gods made it happen. Ajay thanks Sabal for rescuing him, but Sabal tells him that he shouldn’t be thanking him but thanking Kyra. Sabal then tells Ajay that keeping him alive is good for the cause, and that it's one thing Amita doesn't understand. Sabal reassures to Ajay that he'll always have his back.

After Amita or Sabal leave, as Ajay is about to get up from his bed, he notices his mother's urn next to him. He picks it up and takes it with him, as he prepares to continue his journey.
