The Recurve Bow returns to Far Cry New Dawn.
Optimized Recurve Bow
The Optimized Recurve Bow is the third bow acquired by the player. It is a Rank 3 weapon and has more stopping power than its makeshift counterparts, dealing 800 damage without any upgrades.
This bow is a solid choice for the early-to-mid game, especially if they upgrade Prosperity to Level 2 as soon as they can. The bow can reliably one-shot Rank 1 to 3 Highwaymen anywhere in the body.
It is painted black, held together by duct tape on its middle, with metal fixtures holding the duct tape in place.

In-Game Description | ||
The "Blood Dragon" Recurve Bow returns in Far Cry New Dawn and is the fourth bow acquired by the player. It appears to be a replica of the bow used in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. It is a Rank 4 weapon and has the most stopping power compared to its lower-ranked counterparts — only rivaled by the "Lucky Shot" Compound Bow.
It has almost identical stats to the "Lucky Shot" Compound Bow, with a slight decrease in accuracy due to its lack of a custom scope. The Blood Dragon bow deals 1600 base damage, similarly to the compound bow. Both bows are excellent choices for the mid-to-late game, even outposts and expeditions, and can reliably take down Highwaymen Enforcers with one or two shots. Ultimately, it is the player's personal preference to pick the bow they wish to use.
In addition, the arrows the bow utilizes are modified to match the Blood Dragon aesthetic, with blue glowing lighting, as well as an addition of incendiary and explosive arrows, however, they do not leave trails as they did in the original game.
