Rusty AR-C

The Rusty AR-C is the base assault rifle in Far Cry New Dawn.

A rank 1 weapon, it is effective against low-rank enemies and animals but quickly loses its potency against stronger opponents due to its low damage output. Because of its decayed condition, reloading it will take much longer than normal. This rifle appears to be somewhat damaged, as its components are being held together with zip-ties, elastic bands, and duct tape.

Several variants of the Rusty AR-C can be found across Hope County. While the Survivors do not use any colour scheme on their rifles, the Highwaymen have embellished their own guns with a red spray paint, much like with the rest of their equipment. However, their Elite forces stand out from the flock with their pink spray paint colour scheme, which is exclusively reserved for the highest ranking members.

AR-C "Rock Paper Scissors"

The "Rock Paper Scissors" AR-C is the sixth assault rifle the Player acquires, and one of the most powerful rifles in the game, compared to its Rank I counterpart.

It deals 155 base damage to the torso, and combined with its fire-rate, can easily mow down higher ranked enemies within seconds. However, at medium-to-long range, its recoil can make the player waste some of their shots, so it is recommended that the player uses it with short bursts or even single shots at that range. The gun also suffers from a lack of a suppressor, making it rather inconvenient for stealthy engagements, such as outposts. On the upside, this AR-C variant has a noticeably swifter reload animation as well, unlike its rusty predecessor.

The gun itself has red duct tape on its stock, and it is also fitted with a scope and a scissor blade to serve as an improvised bayonet. The barrel seems to be unstable as there appears to be a zip-tie and an L-shaped metal fixture keeping it stable.
